The tool is designed to identify the specific box or boxes that contain items matching the search criteria. The RBST was designed to enable two types of searches: Publication Search. Publications (excluding news clippings and copies of photographs) contained within the Research Boxes have been completely inventoried. The user can search through publications using words or phrases believed to be part of the title, author's name, date of publication, and/or words that might match those in brief content notes that sometimes accompany each publication. The information entered for a Publication Search may be combined with a Criteria Search (see below). The search results are shown one per line where each line gives the box Title of the Research Box (if any) that meets ALL the criteria/search terms entered. Criteria Search. While non-pubication items contained within the Research Boxes have not been completely inventoried, the contents of each box have been systematically assessed and labelled, as a whole, in terms of Time Period, Location (geographic), Content (subject), and Media Type (type of printed material, e.g., news clippings). The user can use as many or as few of these four criteria as desired. Results are shown one per line with each line corresponding to a Research BoxI LVALY that meets ALL the criteria entered.Jg85 Od5U`abhcd e Label3PWhat do you want to do? The site has been known by many names, including Hanford Works, Hanford Engineer Works, Hanford Nuclear Reservation or HNR, and the Hanford Project. Established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project, it was home to the B-Reactor, the first full-scale plutonium production reactor in the world. Plutonium manufactured at the site was used in the first nuclear bomb, tested at the Trinity site, and in Fat Man, the bomb detonated over Nagasaki, Japan. The weapons production reactors were decommissioned at the end of the Cold War, but the manufacturing process left behind 53 million U.S. gallons of high-level radioactive waste that remains at the site. This represents two-thirds of the nation's high-level radioactive waste by volume. Today, Hanford is the most contaminated nuclear site in the United States and is the focus of the nation's largest environmental cleanup.
