Welcome to the page that documents the Clark County Historical Museum’s first ever group tour of the Inside Passage of Alaska via Holland America’s Cruise Line! There were 13 people on the 2012 trip which began on Sunday, September 9th and returned home on Sunday, September 16th.
Our Executive Director Susan Tissot co-led this excursion with travel agent and world traveler Carol Pinnell of Group Journeys LLC. The group traveled up the Inland Passage stopping at Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria. At each of the stops the group visited museums, cultural sites, art galleries, and local artists.
The museum would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the following for their hospitality: Carol Pinnell, The Alaska State Museum (Juneau), The Sheldon Jackson Museum (Sitka), The Totem Heritage Center (Ketchikan), the Royal BC Museum (Victoria) and artist Rie Muñoz.
Plans for another Alaskan excursion in fall 2013 are underway.
