The museum has some awesome new neighbors! Burnt Bridge Cellars and Class Cooking, both around the corner on Broadway and 15th, offer tastings and wine by the glass as well as seasonal cooking classes. Co-owners Mark and Kim Mahan and David and Julie Smith are teaming up with us to offer a cooking class fundraiser for the museum on September 8th, 2013 from 4-8 pm. The class will feature Burnt Bridge wine tasting, wines by the glass for a discounted $5
each, and a full-course class and meal courtesy of Class Cooking. Students will learn how to prepare Salmon Coulibiac and accompanying side dishes. Check back soon for the full menu. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
This class is open to members only and is limited to 12 people. If you’re not a current member, don’t panic! Click over to our Membership page and become one! Tickets, which are required, are $75, $50 of which goes directly to support the museum. Call (360) 993-5679 to reserve your seats today!
More about our partners
Burnt Bridge Cellars
Burnt Bridge Cellars is a small artisan winery located in downtown Vancouver. Owners David Smith and Mark Mahan brought their dream of operating a winery to fruition in the fall 2010 with their first harvest of fruit from eastern Washington state. The winery opened a tasting room at the current location in spring of 2012. Burnt Bridge Cellars celebrated it’s first Gold Medal from the Seattle Wine Awards for their 2010 Viognier.
Class Cooking
Chef Kim Mahan has been teaching classes at Class Cooking since 2005, moving to her current location in downtown Vancouver last November adjacent to Burnt Bridge Cellars. Kim specializes in small group hands-on gourmet cooking classes, teaching many different cuisines, from Thai to Turkish. In addition to cooking classes, she provides in-house catering for winery events.
