The Hats! exhibit explores the form and function of headwear in Clark County and beyond. Highlights from the museum’s collection include a bonnet that traveled along the Oregon Trail in 1852; a hat worn and donated by First Lady, Mamie Eisenhower, to a local women’s group; a dress uniform hat belonging to General T.M. Anderson of the Vancouver Barracks; and a silk top hat worn by Amos F. Shaw to the first Washington State Legislature in 1889 (modeled here by Vancouver Business Journal publisher, John McDonagh).
