Welcome to Mr. Carnegie's Grand Tour
of Washington, an annual heritage touring adventure that
celebrates Carnegie libraries - the cultural legacy of
19th-century steel magnate Andrew Carnegie – and nearby
heritage sites and cultural
destinations. This tour is a project of the Carnegie Library Consortium of Washington, a special initiative of the Clark County Historical Museum, in Vancouver, Wa. It is designed to help residents and visitors identify Washington’s Carnegie libraries, as well as other historic points of interest. CLCW wishes to promote heritage tourism, history and commerce, and preservation of these classically elegant buildings so they are safeguarded for future generations.
