Tour Purpose and Rules
Mr. Carnegie’s Grand Tour of Washington is
designed to promote heritage tourism and visitation in cities
where Carnegie libraries exist. The accompanying Web page,
found as a link at the Clark County Historical Society’s Web
site (http://www.cchmuseum.org/)
also lists restaurants, lodging and historic sites located
near Carnegie library buildings.
Participants in the
Mr. Carnegie’s Grand Tour of Washington are asked to
visit as many participating Carnegie library sites in
Washington as you can. (But you must visit at least three!)
Verify each visit with a special consortium stamp in this
passport. Then, send your passport to the Clark County
Historical Museum (1511 Main St., Vancouver, Wa. 98660-2945)
in an envelope, postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2009, to be
eligible for a Jan. 15, 2010, gift drawing featuring an
assortment of Washington-made products.
The Carnegie
library sites listed in Mr. Carnegie’s Grand Tour of
Washington are participating in the 2009 Carnegie Travel
Passport program.
Good luck and have fun!
